Chockala is a women owned and run chocolate business built on creativity, craftsmanship, and a lifelong love for chocolate.
As a child, I used to daydream about swimming in a giant pool of chocolate. The kind I could eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That dream never really left me. Even today, the smell of melting chocolate instantly lifts my mood and fills a room with warmth and comfort.
Chockala is my way of bringing that childhood dream to life and sharing that same joy with others through chocolate.
I grew up surrounded by flavor and creativity. My father owns a spice business, which meant I was constantly exposed to diverse ingredients and aromas from around the world. My mother is both a spice expert and an artist who taught me to appreciate beauty, detail, and expression.
I like to think I am a combination of both of them, blending bold flavors with creativity to craft chocolates that are thoughtful, expressive, and unique.
My first job was at a chocolate boutique where I met my mentor Stephanie, who introduced me to the craft of chocolate making and helped shape the foundation of my journey.
After graduating from culinary school, I worked across the city in chocolate boutiques, bakeries, and restaurants while also hosting chocolate workshops and freelance projects. Along the way, another mentor, Dave, helped shape my understanding of leadership, business, and the importance of believing in my vision.
During my time in the industry, I realized that the traditional corporate 9 to 5 path was not where my passion lived. I wanted to create something of my own that celebrated thoughtful ingredients, bold flavors, and the artistry of chocolate making.
Today, Chockala specializes in artisanal plant based chocolate while also crafting traditional chocolate creations. Every product is made with attention to detail and a deep appreciation for flavor.
